World Wide Winners

Hi,
It has been a while since we covered this material, but as they say, better late than never.
So, our 5th module, World Wide Winners, consists of 4 videos. I will cover briefly, what is in
each one.
Video 1 is an introduction. Dean poses the question ‘So, Where Do We Go?’
The answer is four-fold:
• Forums
• Other Blogs
• Articles
• Videos (Covered in Module 6)

In Video 2 Dean talked about Forums; the benefits of using them and the right and wrong
ways to use them. Some of the benefits include: Continued Learning, Increased Reputation,
Free Traffic and Making Money. He then mentioned several things to do, like asking advice
and questions and sharing your knowledge and achievements. From there, he went on to
mention some things to avoid doing on forums, like: DO NOT write a post and include links
to your own stuff. Another is: DO NOT argue or create arguments.
He also cautioned us to be aware of the time we spend on forums. Use them, but remember
always to try and be productive. In other words, don’t spend all your time there!

Video 3 is about other blogs. As members of the Starting With Marketing Academy, we have
been making the rounds on each others’ blogs. Now, it is time to get out there and visit
other people’s blogs and make new friends. Some of the ways to find other blogs include:
Search Engines, Forums, and Social Media Sites.
Once you find some good blogs to comment on, list them on a spreadsheet and go back to
them on a regular schedule. Check your Google Analytics to see who is looking at and
commenting on your blog. Rinse and Repeat.
Here is a sampling of the list of top IM forums Dean gave us:
http://www.warriorforum.com, http://www. internetbasedmoms.com/bb,

http://www.im4newbies.com/forum.

In Video 4 Dean asks the question, What Is An Article? It is simply a piece of text written
about a certain topic. They are usually about the same length as this post. Two more things
about Articles: Do some keyword research and use keywords in your articles. Once you have
written your article, get it submitted to an article directory. Go here to find a list of 50 top
directories: http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php

    Hi Mike,
Very cool. Nice concise summary of this module. Short and to the point. The do’s an don’ts are very important, as we would not want to do anything to get ejected from a forum. Keep up the great work and nice testimonial video by the way.

    All the best,

    Ed
